This collection was a cropping exercise to learn more about using the cropping tool and putting emphasis on the correct parts of an image. For most of the pictures, I cropped out small distractions that brought some of the attention away. For example, the colorful toy in the picture of my dog, and the post in the picture of the ocean. With the puddle in the sunset one, I think it would give a different perspective if I were to crop it so the main focus was the puddle. After cropping the colorful sunset, I liked the picture so much better. There is now an obvious line of where the foreground and the background split. The focus is only on the trees and the sunset now, not the railing of the deck. I learned that cropping is an extremely useful technique when it comes to highlighting lines and patterns in photographs. In the future, I will look for cropping options that will improve the photo.
